Here we are – my first favourites post of 2016. This month I haven’t played with makeup as much as I would have loved but however there were few contenders that took over my makeup bag. Let’s get into it!
I have had this bronzer for such a long time, however on my medium olive skintone this is still my favourite bronzer of all times. I really like the fact that it’s so cool toned that I can use it both as a contour as well as an all oveer bronzer without looking too ashy. I would really recommend this to anyone!
I got this foundation back at a L’oreal event for a really good price and I have been surprised by how much I’ve liked it. For reference, I am in the shade 3 and it’s probably slightly lighter than what I would normally go for, but it’s perfect for winter. I like the fact that this foundation is foolproof, as I’ve never had a day of wearing it and feeling like it’s slippery or getting into my dry patches or any of those awful thing. A great foundation for normal to dry skin who like a medium coverage.
I think it’s safe to say that this concealer has become my absolute favorite formula of all times! I love the applicator, the creaminess of it as well as the fact that it lasts for such a long time. Also I happened to be getting this at the same time as my Nars Radiant Concealer and will soon be writing a review comparing them but this one definitely has me going wow!
I finally bit the bullet on this one after hearing so much about it and I have to say that now I get it. While I don’t necessarily use this one on its own, but more like a blush topper, I love the luminosity that it gives to my cheeks and it works so well with any looks!
Need I say more? I had Opal before this one and I thought that nothing could really top that one, but Champagne Pop is probably the most beautiful, incredibly gold yet very light and universally flattering (joke- only if you have light to medium skintone) highlight that the world could have created. Also I am really happy to see that the colour is now permanent so I do not need to be sweating and worrying about backups. Phew.
I got this palette in December and have not been able to put it down. I use it for my everyday neutral looks as it has only matte shadows, as well as for colourful one or smokey looks as it provides so many great options for my crease and transitions shades. It has simply become a staple in my bag these days.
If you’ve never tried any of the Colourpop eyeshadows, I really recommend you to. They have a unique consistency of cream to powder and
they are incredibly pigmented and soft, however not as easy to work with, as they dry quite quickly so you need to be fast. I own quite few, however I love the strong colours such as Etiquette or Leopard where you can use them as an all over the lid colour and then smoke them out with some dark browns or any other combos that you are interested in. Definitely one to think about!
Last but not least, one of my favorite lip products of all time. This colour is what I call the ‘undupeable’ as I have never been able to find a colour like this one. It’s sort of a rosy terracota dark nude, which is my perfect MLBB (my lips but better for people who don’t know that). Also it has a matte finish which is what I always go for and the pencil form makes it really nice to carry it around as well as apply it precisely. Also, if you know any dupes for it, please, please, please let me know as I have been unable to find anything similar. Below you can see a swatch so you can see what I’m talking about
So this is it guys! These are my favourites for the month. Let me know what you guys have loved and I look forward to hearing from you
Lots of love,
